At the moment as a country we are in debt, no doubt about it. The public aren’t to happy about cutbacks either… but should we really cut back on foreign aid. It is widely believed that money spend on aid isn’t used the way it should be when it arrived but is it time we cut down on this?
I personally believe it is, as a country we are borrowing money (and printing new stuff) just to send to other countries when more people than ever are living off food banks and the level of unemployment is at an all time high.
I know this is cliche and perhaps an unpopular view but charity begins at home and at the moment that’s where the money should be going.
